About
Frances Kenny's interest in fashion began when she was five years old, dressing out of the magic box of her mother's discarded dresses and hats. She went on to study at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and then, while studying art history at the University of Oregon, became addicted to designing costumes for theater.
After moving to Seattle, theater morphed into a new medium: styling wardrobe for commercials, video and still shoots. She now feels she has the most fun and interesting job, collaborating and solving problems with directors, producers, agency, client and crews for each new project from dressing chimpanzees for virtual reality to making a velcro suit for an actor to stick to a wall.
